    Clare Mock – Company Secretary

    Clare is the Company Secretary and has been with the company for 30 years. She deals with the marketing and finance as well as HR. When she isn’t busy overlooking the business, Clare is out helping on her organic dairy farm with the family, training their working dogs or riding her horse.

     

    Anne Theasby – Cashier, Receptionist

    Anne is our most experienced Cashier/Receptionist although this title is a bit of a misnomer! Anne helps to keep the stock databases up to date, sort the banking and is a dab hand at making our Remnant cards. All this and dealing with customers and answering the telephone.

     

    Alison Ousley – Accounts

    Book Keeper: Alison has been with the company for six years. She keeps the accounts, records and admin in order and is particularly popular on pay day. Away from the store, Alison enjoys gardening and travelling around the UK.

     

    Derek Ellis – Warehouse Supervisor

    Warehouse: early bird Derek is the first to arrive to the Truro store in the mornings. For the past 12 years he has been preparing everything for the day, from cutting and rolling to loading, receiving goods and tending one of the best filing systems in town. Derek likes playing the guitar, unless the weather is nice when he’ll be out in the garden.

     

    Gary Peck – Carpet and Flooring Specialist

    Carpet and Flooring Specialist: Gary has been selling, measuring and estimating in the Truro store for five years. Known as the ‘showman of Hardy Carpets’, Gary loves tap dancing, rock n roll, singing and performing stand up comedy… but not in the store.

     

    Rick Barker – Carpet & Flooring specialist

    Rick has been at Hardy Carpets for 12 years. He deals with customers and takes control of the rug collections in the St Austell store. Outside of work, Rick is the sportsman, he likes playing football and running.

     

    Helen Cox – Cashier, Receptionist

    St Austell receptionist, cashier and secretary: Helen is also acting Manageress for Hardy Carpet’s St Austell store. Helen likes to spend her free time reading, knitting and gardening.

     

    Phil Coombes – Warehouse

    Warehouse. Another early bird: Phil has been with Hardy Carpets for an impressive 28 years. He can do all of the manual jobs necessary in the warehouse and helps out on the shop floor serving customers too. Away from work, Phil is a busy beekeeper and takes part in amateur radio.

     

    Philip Oakes – Manager – Truro

    Truro Store Manager ?Philip is like the ‘head waiter’ of the Truro store, keeping everything running smoothly. He certainly has the experience having been with Hardy Carpets for almost all his working life. Outside of hours Philip keeps active playing squash, golf and fishing.

     

    David Pond – Warehouse Assistant,

    David keeps busy in the back of the store where he’ll be cutting and rolling carpets. He joined Hardy Carpets eight months ago but still manages to play football every day for Stithians.

     

    Adrian Hayes – Manager – St.Austell

    Adrian, manages the St Austell store and spends most of his time doing the job he loves -measuring and estimating. He has been with the company for 28 years. Adrian also enjoys caravanning around Europe with his wife and two Springer Spaniels.

     

    Scott Cook – Warehouse,

    Scott works with the team cutting and loading up the carpets for the fitters. Scott has embraced his work over the five years he has been with the company, helps keep the warehouse paperwork in order and is capable of taking sole charge of all the warehouse duties. When not working, he takes time out playing darts, golf and snooker.

     

    James Triggs – Multi-tasker,

    James can be found both in the warehouse preparing the carpets for delivery or covering the shop floor and dealing with sales. He has seven years experience with the company. James loves spending time with his daughter and playing football for a six-a-side league.

     

    Julia Rowe – Cashier, Receptionist

    Receptionist and cashier, there are many things on Julia’s ‘to-do’ list including secretarial duties; answering the phone, dealing with purchases and sales, logging of stock arrivals and general administration. In her free time, Julia enjoys walking around the Cornish countryside, gardening and she’s a keen cook.

     

    Carol Thorne – Cashier, Receptionist

    Truro receptionist, Cashier and Secretary. Carol is the point of call for Hardy Carpet’s customers. She returned to the company a year ago after 18 years out. In her spare time Carol likes to get out on the high seas for a sail or relax with a good book.
